Bird Woman! Bird Woman!
The wild bird woman hums colors to wake me.
Urging adventure eyes smile when I show fear
“Come” she laughs, guiding me from my flesh and bones.
“Fly from that old cozy bed, those books and bags
To the far reaches, to a place where the past meets the present in the future
On the pebble beach.” She melts, she changes form
She brandishes her magic wand.
She shows me that I can become unstuck.
Fool woman. Bird Woman. Dance Woman. Humming bird. Dream Guide.
I lay awake waiting for you. Bird Woman! Bird Woman!
And you arrive when I have forgotten to wait.
You creep between the pages of some dull mood and say:
“COME CHANGE! TAKE RISK!
Move ! Move! Move!”
Your song is the wind around the moon.

My paintings are story poems of ways I found healing through my dreams, connection to nature, and the archetypal realm. Each painting took me into a world of meditation and colors. My hope is that some people who look at my art will find a gateway into their own healing and creativity. My collection of art spans from 1985 to the present. The paintings are a combination of watercolor, inks and gouache.
